Oppo Partners with Google to Bring Gemini-Powered AI to Find X9 Series Overseas

Oppo has announced a significant expansion of its partnership with Google to integrate a suite of next-generation, personalized, and secure Artificial Intelligence (AI) features into its flagship Find X9 Series and the upcoming ColorOS 16 operating system for overseas markets.

This collaboration is centered around a deeper integration of Google Gemini, Google's powerful AI model, across the core smartphone experience. The goal is to deliver more intuitive and comprehensive mobile AI capabilities with a strong focus on user data privacy.

Key AI Features and Integrations:

AI Mind Space with Gemini: The cornerstone of the partnership is the new AI Mind Space application. This feature allows users to easily capture and organize on-screen content (text, images, or web pages) using a simple three-finger swipe gesture. By linking with Gemini, users can then instruct the AI to perform complex actions based on the saved content, such as drafting documents or creating detailed travel itineraries.

Real-Time Visual Guidance: The Find X9 series will feature Gemini Live assistance, allowing users to share their screen or camera for real-time help. Gemini can provide visual guidance by highlighting elements directly on the phone's display for tasks like troubleshooting or learning how to fix an item.

Creative Image Editing: Users gain access to Nano Banana, Gemini’s new AI image editing model, which enables creative photo enhancements through simple text prompts.

Productivity Suite: ColorOS 16 on the Find X9 devices will also integrate several new AI productivity tools, including AI Search, AI Call Summary, AI Recorder, and AI Writer.

A Foundation Built on Privacy

Oppo and Google emphasized that user privacy is a core principle of the collaboration. The system is built on the Oppo AI Private Computing Cloud (PCC), which leverages Google Cloud's confidential computing services. This architecture ensures that sensitive data for AI processing is handled in a secure and encrypted environment, making it inaccessible to any third party, including Oppo itself.

As an added benefit, purchasers of the Oppo Find X9 or Find X9 Pro will receive a complimentary three-month subscription to Google AI Pro. This premium subscription provides access to more advanced Gemini features and includes 2TB of Google Cloud storage.

The full suite of these AI-rich experiences is set to debut with the global launch of the Oppo Find X9 series and ColorOS 16, which is scheduled for October 28, 2025.
