Meta Appoints Insider Vishal Shah to Key AI Product Role

Meta Platforms has appointed longtime company insider Vishal Shah to a pivotal leadership position within its growing Artificial Intelligence (AI) division. The move signals Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's continued strategy to direct top talent and resources toward accelerating AI development to compete with rivals like Microsoft, OpenAI, and Anthropic.

New Role: Vishal Shah is now the head of product management for AI products at Meta.

Reporting Structure: He will report to Nat Friedman, Meta's head of AI product.

Previous Experience: Shah is a seasoned executive at Meta, having spent over six years leading product management for Instagram. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of the Metaverse division since 2021.
