Visual Product Designer, Applied AI Solutions (SCORE UX): Amazon

This Visual Product Designer role is with the Solutions Core Experience (SCORE) team, the UX organization within AWS Applied AI Solutions (AAIS). This team designs the next generation of intelligent, AI-powered experiences for products that transform industries, including contact centers, supply chains, and healthcare.

As a key member of the design team, you will elevate the visual language of AAIS. This involves shaping design systems, defining expressive patterns, and art-directing how these complex AI-driven products feel and communicate. You will be responsible for turning sophisticated ideas into elegant, accessible experiences.


Responsibilities
Define, evolve, and maintain visual design systems that express the AAIS design language across AI-driven experiences.

Create visual narratives—including layouts, iconography, motion cues, and conceptual illustrations—that bring clarity and emotion to complex workflows.

Collaborate with interaction designers, design technologists, and engineers to ensure designs are both beautiful and buildable.

Provide art direction and visual critique across projects to raise the design bar.

Partner with product and engineering leaders to shape roadmaps that balance innovation and usability.

Present design work with clarity and confidence to peers, stakeholders, and senior leadership.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of experience delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer.

A Bachelor's degree.

An online portfolio or resume demonstrating experience creating end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns (across desktop and mobile).

Experience in visual design, demonstrated through design concepts, case studies, mockups, and style guides.

Knowledge of typography, design principles, trends, and best practices.

Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience art directing motion designers, illustrators, writers, and content creators.

Experience leading design teams in problem definition, collaboration, and delivery.

Experience dealing well with ambiguity and delivering measurable results in an agile environment.

Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates.
