This role is within gTech Users and Products (gUP), a division dedicated to advocating for Google’s users. As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead the engineering execution for the AI-powered User Voice Insights Engine (UVIE).
You will use your engineering expertise to manage the full program lifecycle—from technical design to launch—transforming raw user feedback into actionable insights using Large Language Models (LLMs) and NLP. You will serve as the bridge between Product, Engineering, and Data Science to ensure Google's products are optimized for users globally.
Responsibilities
Program Execution: Drive the end-to-end execution of the AI-powered User Voice Insights Engine (UVIE), managing the lifecycle from technical design to launch and system health.
Roadmap Management: Define and communicate the technical program roadmap, milestones, and dependencies.
Technical Assessment: Apply expert technical judgment to assess engineering problems and communicate trade-offs to executive leadership.
AI Integration: Serve as the key integration point for AI/ML-driven features, partnering with Data Science to manage new insight-generation models.
Subject Matter Expertise: Cultivate expertise in Google's User Voice ecosystem, including data architecture, data warehousing, and ingestion pipelines.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program management.
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP, or Generative AI.
Experience in software program management or engineering management.
Preferred Qualifications:
8 years of experience managing emerging technologies programs.
Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Ability to influence without authority and build cross-functional partnerships.
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
