Sr Front End Engineer, Applied AI Solutions at Amazon (AWS Applied AI Solutions)

he AWS Applied AI Solutions team is looking for a Senior Front End Engineer to join a small "two-pizza team" building a new agentic product from the ground up. The team's mission is to build turnkey, AI-driven solutions that businesses can rely on for daily operations, focusing on operational excellence and customer experience.

This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to influence technical design and product direction, but spend the majority of your time writing code. The team values scrappiness, autonomy, and a bias for action.

Responsibilities
Influence technical design and product direction while primarily focusing on writing code.

Build production web applications using TypeScript-based frameworks (specifically React).

Implement modern frontend architecture patterns, state management, and component-based design.

Handle real-time data flows, streaming APIs, and dynamic content rendering.

Optimize performance for high-frequency UI updates and complex state changes.

Ensure accessibility standards and internationalization best practices are met.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of non-internship professional front-end, web, or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

5+ years of experience creating prototypes or wireframes for enterprise web applications or workflows.

Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g., React.JS, AngularJS, Vue).

Prioritized Experience (from Description):

5+ years building production web applications using TypeScript (React preferred).

Expertise in design system implementation and component libraries (Cloudscape experience is highly preferred).

Understanding of real-time data flows and streaming APIs.

AWS service launch/production operational experience is desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of web services technologies (SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, REST).

Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.
