This is a senior-level SDET role focused on leading automation initiatives and strengthening QA practices. The position requires a combination of traditional automation expertise and emerging AI-driven testing capabilities to ensure high-quality software delivery within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Leadership: Lead and mentor QA team members and define robust testing strategies and plans.

Automation: Debug and execute automated scripts using Playwright and Selenium.

Release Management: Manage release activities and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

Collaboration: Coordinate with product owners, developers, and cross-functional teams to align on quality goals.

Estimation: Provide accurate testing effort estimates and timelines.

Work Model

Hybrid: Requires 3 days a week in-office at the Fort Mill, SC location (client or Cognizant office).

Requirements

Experience: 12+ years of QA experience with Agile practices.

Automation Tools: Expertise in writing and enhancing scripts using Playwright and Selenium.

Programming: Hands-on experience with Java and TypeScript.

Frameworks: Strong knowledge of QA processes and frameworks (Keyword Driven, Hybrid).

Tools: Experience with REST Assured, JUnit/TestNG, Maven, and GitHub.

Legal: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (no visa transfers or future sponsorship).

Preferred (Stand Out) Skills

Generative AI: Experience with LLM models, Amazon Kendra, Amazon Bedrock, and embedding strategies.

Framework Customization: Ability to customize automation frameworks for complex scenarios.

Mentorship: Proven track record of leading QA teams and mentoring staff.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $71,100 to $112,500 per year (depending on experience).

Incentives: Eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program.
