Software Development Engineer, AWS AI Foundations: Amazon (Amazon Web Services)

This role is on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Next Gen DevX (NGDE) team, which focuses on using generative AI and foundation models to reimagine the experience for all builders on AWS. The team explores new technologies to create innovative tools and services that will impact engineers worldwide, from the IDE to web-based platforms. The team fosters a supportive environment that emphasizes knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and career growth.


Responsibilities:

Learn and use modern and advanced technologies.

Collaborate with internal engineering teams, leading technology companies, and the open-source community.

Develop cloud-based solutions that will delight software developers and system administrators globally.

Create innovative products and see them launched in high-volume production environments.

Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.

2+ years of non-internship experience in the design or architecture of new and existing systems (focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling).

Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
