Role Overview
Citi is seeking a Vice President (VP) level engineer to lead the design and implementation of Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions for their enterprise Controls Technology platform. This is a highly technical leadership role focused on moving beyond simple chatbots to autonomous, goal-oriented AI agents that can automate complex financial operations and enhance audit/compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities
Model Engineering: Fine-tune LLMs using advanced methods like LoRA, QLoRA, and Adapter tuning.
Agentic Orchestration: Design multi-agent systems using frameworks like Crew.ai, AutoGen, or LangGraph where multiple AI "agents" communicate to solve tasks.
RAG Systems: Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems using PostgreSQL (pgvector) and hybrid search.
Productionalization: Deploy AI workflows into AWS environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Governance: Implement AI guardrails and ensure all solutions meet strict banking compliance and ethical AI standards.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in AI/ML with significant specialization in Generative AI.
Tech Stack: * Core: Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, SQL (PostgreSQL).
GenAI Frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face.
Optimization: DeepSpeed, vLLM, Quantization (GPTQ).
Education: Bachelorโs or Masterโs in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
