We are looking for a talented and experienced AI Backend Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is a hybrid role, reporting to the Group Manager, Director, Software Engineering in the Engineering Department. Avalor curates and contextualizes data from hundreds of security and business tools to help companies understand and address their riskiest problems. If you're passionate about data and helping companies improve their security posture, you’ll play a critical role in driving innovation within the AI space by leveraging cutting-edge backend technologies.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

Lead and drive innovative projects within the AI domain, leveraging fabric capabilities to enhance and accelerate our products offerings

Develop our agentic fabric framework and implement the agentic fabric framework across the platform

Identify opportunities to address complex technical challenges and improve existing systems

Own the end-to-end delivery of projects, from proof-of-concept (POC) to full-scale production deployment

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance our technology stack and processes

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field

5+ years of backend development experience with Python and/or Java

Experience building AI agent systems, including designing new agents and developing agent frameworks

Expertise in microservices architectures, with hands-on experience using AWS and Kubernetes

A proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, dynamic environments and tackle complex technical challenges with creative, effective solutions

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Demonstrated experience leading machine learning and data science projects
