Principal Software Engineer, ChatGPT for Work: OpenAI

OpenAI is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the ChatGPT for Work team. This team is dedicated to bringing OpenAI’s technology to consumers and businesses. The role is centered on building and deploying the ChatGPT for Work product, which has been shown to increase productivity by up to 30% in knowledge work. The ideal candidate will be excited about building a secure, scalable foundation, packaging OpenAI's technology for enterprise buyers, and shipping 0-1 products that provide users with 10x abilities in specific enterprise domains.

Responsibilities
Partner with cross-functional teams (researchers, engineers, product managers, and designers) to bring new features and research capabilities to the world.

Accelerate engineering productivity by empowering fellow engineers with excellent tooling and systems.

Be responsible for the reliability of systems, including participating in an on-call rotation for critical incidents.

Requirements
Experience: Meaningful experience with building and rebuilding production systems to deliver new product capabilities and handle increasing scale.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of engineering principles, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
