About the Role
As a Junior Machine Learning Engineer, you will help build and support advanced analytics products that bring value to various teams, including Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations. This role is a key part of the MLOps team, where you'll learn and contribute to best practices throughout the entire model lifecycle, from data ingestion to model serving and monitoring. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between advanced analytics concepts and practical software development.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists to understand project and model requirements.
Learn and assist in the design and development of CI/CD pipelines for ML models, ensuring reproducibility, scalability, and reliability.
Help create and maintain model serving architectures.
Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform to manage cloud resources.
Learn to create libraries for efficient modeling processes at any stage of the model lifecycle.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.
Troubleshoot and debug issues related to ML models and infrastructure.
Requirements
Education: A degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, computer science, data science, or engineering).
Skills:
Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including common algorithms and concepts.
Experience in DevOps/MLOps or tools for automation for CI/CD.
Proficiency in SQL and Python with relevant ML libraries.
Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably with AWS.
Understanding of software engineering best practices (e.g., Git, code reviews, automatic testing).
Understanding of parallel programming techniques.
Basic understanding of data ingestion and data engineering techniques.
Nice to Have
Experience with AWS Cloud Services.
Experience with Terraform.
Experience with Databricks and MLflow.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with Spark.
