Lead Research Scientist, Human-AI Interaction

ServiceNow is a leading enterprise software company providing AI-powered platforms for digital workflows in IT, HR, customer service, and more. This role focuses on advancing human-AI collaboration within the organization. Responsibilities include leading research on how AI reshapes roles, decision-making, and workflows; conducting field studies, cognitive modeling, and simulations of human-AI collaboration; partnering with HR, Product, Digital Technology, and Org Design teams to design job architectures integrating AI; refining behavioral frameworks for ethical AI; translating research into design, policy, and training recommendations; publishing internal playbooks on working with AI; designing measures for human-AI interaction quality; collaborating with UX Research; presenting findings to executive leadership. Requirements: Ph.D. or Master’s in Cognitive Psychology, Human-AI Interaction, HCI, Human Factors, or related fields; 8+ years in applied HAII, HCI, or human-AI research with cognitive science focus, or equivalent in Cognitive Science with AI workplace emphasis; experience in future-of-work, organizational design, or technology transformation; expert skills in experimental/qualitative research methods; strong communication and stakeholder influence; experience with AI ethics, trust, and explainability.
