        This role is within the Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) Client Engineering organization, which builds experiences for Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+. As a Lead Applied AI Engineer, you will serve as a high-level technical resource, solving complex challenges and integrating generative AI to drive business impact on frontend clients. You will help discover new applications for AI and improve engineering efficiency for Disney's streaming brands.
Responsibilities
Integrate generative AI to power business impact on frontend clients.
Develop MCP servers to enhance the everyday LLMs used by Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.
Improve engineering efficiency by using development data to enhance developer workflows, code quality, and build/deploy processes.
Discover new applications for machine learning and artificial intelligence for Disneyโs streaming brands.
Collaborate with engineering, program, and product management teams.
Mentor and onboard team members on ML and AI technologies.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in a technical field.
Bachelorโs in Computer Science (or a related field).
Proficient with Javascript and Python.
Experience working with models like Vertex/Gemini, ChatGPT, Nova, or Deepseek.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS or higher degree in computer science or a related field.
2+ years of experience using applied AI to solve real-world business problems.
Experience with embeddings, RAG, RLHF, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning.
Knowledge of deploying to cloud infrastructure.
