Javascript Senior Software Engineer (AI SDK): Tether

Tether is a global financial technology company pioneering a financial revolution through reserve-backed tokens and blockchain technology. Beyond its well-known stablecoin, USDT, Tether has divisions focused on sustainable Bitcoin mining (Tether Power), AI and peer-to-peer technology (Tether Data), and digital education.

As a Senior SDK Developer (the role's title in the description), you will be part of the team working on the development of the new and cutting-edge Tether AI SDK. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining modular, versioned SDKs that provide clean, usable interfaces for developers, abstracting away complex backend logic.

Responsibilities
Developer-Facing SDKs & APIs: Design, build, and maintain robust and intuitive SDKs (npm packages, API clients) to enable seamless integration with Tether's platform.

Performance & Reliability at Scale: Ensure SDKs are fast, lightweight, and reliable, designing resilient logic (e.g., retry policies, offline handling, batching) and contributing to the scalability of the platform.

Security-First Engineering: Embed best-in-class security practices directly into the SDK architecture, including secure communication, encrypted storage, and rigorous input validation.

Requirements
Required Experience:

6+ years of experience working with Node.js/JavaScript in production environments.

A proven track record in designing and maintaining developer-facing SDKs (e.g., npm packages, API clients).

Strong understanding of modular architecture, versioning strategies, and semantic API design.

Experience with AI domain applications (RAG, Agents, Inference, AI SDKs).

A good understanding of security practices.

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technologies (e.g., Kademlia, Bittorrent, libp2p).

Comfortable with high-availability concepts.

Skills in Rust or C++.

Familiarity with real-time data delivery (e.g., Node.js streaming).
