The role of an IAIFI Fellow is to spark vital collaborations across the primary IAIFI domains of theoretical physics, experimental physics, astrophysics, and foundational AI. Fellows have substantial freedom in choosing their research focus and will work with two IAIFI mentorsβone from Physics and one from AIβto guide their research. This is a three-year fellowship term.
Responsibilities
Initiate and lead interdisciplinary, multi-investigator research collaborations across physics and AI.
Choose and pursue a research focus with guidance from IAIFI mentors.
Generate new ideas and approaches in both physics and AI.
Abstract physics challenges to inform the development of cutting-edge AI tools.
Requirements
Applicants should have, or be expected to receive by September 1, 2026, a PhD in Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
