Google DeepMind is seeking a Generative AI Portfolio Lead to join its Impact Accelerator (GDI) team. The GDI has a unique role within the organization: to develop solutions and resources built on Google DeepMind's technologies that extend benefits to humanity beyond standard products and services.

This is a senior role where you will be responsible for developing and building an AI product portfolio focused on the social impact of Google DeepMind's generative AI technology, such as Gemini. You will work in partnership with the GDI leadership team, engaging in market research, use case analysis, and product definition to drive real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside research, engineering, and partnership teams to identify and define opportunities to use Google DeepMind technology to solve real-world problems.

Scope and prototype products, incorporating ideas from stakeholders and partners while balancing principles of equity, safety, and responsibility.

Drive strategic deep dives across generative AI technologies to assess potential, define use cases, and prioritize opportunities.

Define metrics and objectives to evaluate the success of programs and share insights across the wider business.

Build and manage relationships with a wide variety of internal stakeholders across Alphabet and with external partners.

Qualifications & Experience:
Experience: Demonstrable experience and knowledge of real-world AI applications, including supporting teams to drive large-scale programs from inception to delivery.

Technical Acumen: Confidence in engaging with researchers and engineers. While not required to be an ML/AI specialist, you must understand the considerations related to AI research and technologies.

Product Management: Experience crafting strategic product roadmaps from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams.

Collaboration: A proven ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of internal and external teams and partners.

Communication: Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams, as well as senior leadership.
