Gen AI Technical Architect, Consulting Principal: Cognizant

As a Gen AI Technical Solution Architect (Consulting Principal), you will be responsible for translating early-stage AI innovation ideas into structured, scalable technical architecture proposals. You will ensure these proposals align with enterprise engineering and governance standards. This role requires providing technical leadership for enterprise AI initiatives, with a strong emphasis on model orchestration, data pipelines, and scalable inference systems.

Responsibilities
Provide technical architectural leadership for enterprise AI initiatives, focusing on model orchestration, data pipelines, and scalable inference systems.

Define and govern reference architectures for AI platforms, ensuring alignment with engineering principles like modularity, fault tolerance, and observability.

Translate strategic AI objectives into technical architecture patterns.

Advise on platform decisions related to the model lifecycle, data infrastructure, and integration with enterprise systems.

Ensure architectural decisions are informed by telemetry, performance benchmarks, and cost-efficiency.

Mentor technical teams to promote architectural rigor and consistency in AI systems design.

Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:

Proven experience architecting AI solutions in enterprise environments.

Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, including transformers, embeddings, supervised learning, and model evaluation.

Familiarity with AI tooling, orchestration frameworks, and deployment patterns.

Knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, and responsible AI governance.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications (These will help you succeed):

Experience in innovation or enterprise architecture roles.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and MLOps practices.
