About the Role:
This is a leadership role for an experienced and strategic engineering manager who will guide the efforts around user growth for ChatGPT. The team's focus will be on improving discoverability, the onboarding and new user experience, and social features through strategic bets and rapid, data-driven experimentation.

Responsibilities:

Hire and manage a diverse, high-performing engineering team.

Improve discoverability, onboarding, the new user experience, and social features.

Define and track progress against key user growth metrics via rapid experimentation.

Coach engineers to enhance their impact.

Create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team culture.

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in engineering, including 6+ years of experience in engineering management.

Experience building and leading growth engineering in a fast-paced environment.

A deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a track record of building inclusive teams.

Experience with both rapid experimentation and building delightful, reliable product experiences.

A strong track record of coaching engineers to achieve their peak potential.

Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions.

Experience in closing competitive candidates and conveying compelling future visions.
