Engineer Generative AI: Magna Powertrain

Magna Powertrain, an operating unit of Magna International, is a premier supplier for the global automotive industry, specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of powertrain systems.

As a GenAI Engineer, you will be at the forefront of integrating generative AI technologies into the company's product development workflows. You will be part of a global Gen-AI project team (with members in India, the EU, and North America) and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop intelligent tools, automate engineering tasks, and accelerate innovation in powertrain design and validation.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify the objectives of each AI use case and create detailed user stories.

Develop a functional architecture, select appropriate prompting techniques or agent frameworks, and implement the solution.

Establish a testing pipeline using ground truth data for evaluation.

Document the process and regularly present project progress to ensure transparency and stakeholder alignment.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Professional experience in AI/GenAI and LLM implementation using Python libraries.

Hands-on experience in prompt engineering techniques (e.g., Few-Shot, Chain of Thought prompting, RAG), embeddings, and similarity search.

Experience with Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Databricks, cloud computing, and the Azure environment.

Proficiency with libraries such as LangChain and OpenAI.

Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Multi-Agent Frameworks.

Experience with open-source LLMs (e.g., Llama) and training smaller models.

Product or project management experience.

Knowledge of Azure Power Apps and Web Apps.

Experience in requirements management and test case development according to Automotive SPICE.
