Director of AI Optimization and Productization - R and D Data Science and Digital Health: Johnson and Johnson

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine focuses on healthcare innovation to prevent, treat, and cure complex diseases through expertise in medicine and MedTech. This role is in the Data Science & Digital Health team within R&D, reporting to the VP of AI/ML & Digital Health. Responsibilities include collaborating with AI scientists, R&D partners, and technology teams to optimize AI models for large-scale training and deployment; guiding productization of AI models for discovery, biomarkers, and clinical endpoints; overseeing MLOps frameworks and model life cycles; planning compute capacity; promoting cross-functional collaboration; leading a technical team. Requirements include advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related; 8+ years in AI development and deployment; coding expertise; MLOps and cloud experience (AWS preferred); Agile/DevOps knowledge; regulatory compliance; leadership in matrix organizations; communication skills; Life Sciences experience preferred. Up to 25% travel required.
