Developer/AI Expert: Judicial Branch, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit

This position is for a programmer proficient in Python or C# who specializes in integrating artificial intelligence technologies into software development workflows for the U.S. Court of Appeals. The incumbent will combine strong foundational programming skills with advanced knowledge of machine learning frameworks, natural language processing, and AI model deployment to build and enhance applications for the court.

Important Notes:

Applicants must be a United States citizen or eligible to work for the federal government.

A Sensitive Background Investigation is required.

A twelve-month initial probationary period is required.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python or C#.

Integrate machine learning models and AI algorithms into existing software applications.

Develop and deploy AI-powered features, including natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics.

Optimize AI model performance, accuracy, and scalability for production environments.

Evaluate, implement, and provide guidance on AI-enabled legal tools and applications (e.g., within Westlaw, Lexis).

Prepare and maintain documentation for all locally developed software.

Confer with technical staff and end-users to design software applications based on their needs.

Requirements:

Three years of specialized experience in Python or C# development.

One year of experience integrating AI into development.
