Deadline: Aug 20, 2025
Salary: $72k - $150k/Year
Join a cutting-edge Web3 lab to build a next-generation blockchain tailored specifically for AI agents. This role is at the heart of combining zkVM-based verifiable execution with a high-performance node network and a sophisticated smart-contract layer.
As the Blockchain & AI Infrastructure Engineer, you will drive protocol design, develop Rust-centric infrastructure, and create backend engineering optimizations to support multi-agent AI architectures at a massive scale. This is an opportunity to shape the foundation of a purpose-built AI agent blockchain alongside experts in zero-knowledge proofs and AI orchestration.
Key Responsibilities:
Protocol & zkVM Development: Design and implement core blockchain protocols with zkVM (zero-knowledge Virtual Machine) integration for verifiable AI agent execution.
Node & Network Infrastructure: Build and optimize high-throughput, low-latency node software in Rust, and architect P2P networking and consensus mechanisms for AI workloads.
Smart Contract & Agent Integration: Develop and audit smart contracts (Solidity/ink!) for agent registration, staking, and on-chain governance.
Backend & Tooling: Create backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL) to interact with nodes and agents, and implement monitoring and observability pipelines.
Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with AI engineers to optimize the protocol for agentic use cases and research emerging Web3 and zero-knowledge technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience building or auditing blockchain protocols, smart contracts, or node infrastructure.
Rust Expertise: Deep practical experience writing and maintaining large-scale applications in Rust.
Zero-Knowledge: Hands-on experience with zero-knowledge VM design or implementation (e.g., zkEVM, zkWASM).
Backend Systems: Strong background in backend engineering (Node.js, Go, or Python) and building scalable APIs.
Distributed Systems: In-depth understanding of consensus algorithms, P2P networking, and state replication.
AI Agent Knowledge: A solid grasp of multi-agent systems, agent orchestration, or integrating AI workloads with on-chain logic.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience with agentic frameworks like CrewAI, A2A protocols, or MCP.
Familiarity with on-chain verifiable computation frameworks or TEEs.
A background in building RAG frameworks or vector search services.
Contributions to open-source blockchain or zero-knowledge projects.
