Responsibilities
As an AI Developer within the City of Gold Coast's digital transformation team, you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining scalable AI and machine learning solutions. Your key responsibilities include:

Leading the design, development, and deployment of AI and large language model (LLM) applications.

Building and supporting AI-powered workflows using Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents).

Applying advanced Python programming skills and integrating frameworks like LangChain and Llama Index.

Championing responsible AI practices, privacy, security, and ethical governance.

Collaborating across teams to translate complex business challenges into intelligent, scalable AI solutions.

Embedding MLOps standards and fostering a culture of experimentation and innovation.

Requirements
The City of Gold Coast is seeking candidates who possess:

A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, digital engagement, or a related field.

Proven experience designing and deploying scalable AI/ML applications.

Strong Python coding skills and a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

Experience with LLMs, NLP pipelines, chatbots, and generative AI tools.

Expertise in Microsoft Azure AI services and the Power Platform.

A passion for innovation and the implementation of ethical, human-centered AI.
