API Software Engineer I at Zinnia

About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the vision for a modern, scalable, and API-first customer identity and access management (CIAM) system. You will partner with fellow engineers to create a reusable design and development framework for customer authentication and authorization solutions.

Responsibilities
Design and implement API policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Develop enterprise API solutions using an industry-leading API platform (Kong).

Integrate the enterprise CIAM solution for all internal and external APIs.

Collaborate with the CIAM team to extend its capabilities to serve clients.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

2+ years of software development experience using TypeScript frameworks like NestJS.

An understanding of supporting APIs.

Working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, etc.

Working knowledge of common DevOps tasks (e.g., environment provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring).

Excellent work ethic, with the ability to work and travel independently.

Expert-level communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
