AI Researcher_Azure & Copilot: Charles Schwab

This role is within Schwab’s AI Strategy & Transformation team (AI.x), the company's central hub for Artificial Intelligence. The team is responsible for setting the enterprise AI vision and building the core platform that powers AI at scale.

As an AI Researcher (Azure & Copilot), you will play a key role in designing, investigating, and developing novel AI models and algorithms within the Microsoft Azure and Copilot ecosystem. You will serve as an expert in Azure AI Foundry and AI Agents, focusing on developing agents and creating quantitative measures to evaluate the effectiveness of AI solutions.

Responsibilities
Design, investigate, and develop novel AI models and algorithms using the Microsoft Azure and Copilot ecosystem.

Develop AI agents and create quantitative metrics to measure solution effectiveness.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business leaders to align research efforts with enterprise strategy.

Build strong scientific practices and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Lead by example in tackling technical challenges and driving rapid experimentation from concept to application.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:

A Master’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).

7+ years of experience in AI/ML research and development using Python.

7+ years of experience building data pipelines and data analyses that interface with large datasets.

3+ years of experience using AI models to deliver business value.

Advanced expertise in Azure AI Foundry, Copilot, and the full Microsoft AI ecosystem.

Preferred Skills:

Strong data science fundamentals (SQL, pandas, data visualization).

Experience working with LLMs and shipping LLM-powered applications to production.

Experience mentoring engineers through presentations and code reviews.

Strong communication skills to share perspectives with cross-functional teams.
