AI Engagement Manager / Senior AI Engagement Manager (NYC): C3 AI

This role will almost certainly focus on Financial Services (Banking, Insurance, Private Equity) and potentially Life Sciences/Pharma (many pharmaceutical giants are in the NJ/NY tri-state area).

You are essentially a Tech-Savvy Management Consultant. Your job is to take C3's generic "AI Platform" and configure it to solve specific, high-value problems for Wall Street banks or major manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities
The "Value" Hunter: You aren't just deploying software; you are calculating "Economic Impact." You must prove to a Bank's CFO that the AI fraud detection system you built saved them $50M this quarter.

Gap Bridging: You stand between the Client (who speaks business) and C3's Engineering team (who speaks Python/Java). You translate requirements into technical specs.

Roadmap Influence: Because you are on the front lines, you tell C3's product team what features are missing that clients are begging for.

Critical "Fine Print" & Reality Checks
Hardcore RTO: The application explicitly asks: "Are you willing to work onsite 5 days per week from our office in NYC?" If you answer "No," your application is auto-rejected. C3 AI does not do hybrid work.

Travel Intensity: "Travel to client sites (up to weekly)." In consulting terms, this often means "Monday to Thursday at the client site, Friday in the NYC office." This is a lifestyle commitment.

No Sponsorship: As with the Houston role, they strictly require US work authorization without sponsorship.

Compensation Context
Base: $112k – $197k.

Equity: C3 AI is known for offering significant RSU (Restricted Stock Unit) packages. However, the stock (Ticker: AI) is highly volatile. You should view the equity as a high-risk/high-reward component.

Bonus: Expect a performance bonus tied to "Deployment Success" (did the project go live?) and "Consumption" (is the client actually using the compute?).

Candidate Profile: Who gets hired?
The Ex-Consultant: If you have 4+ years at Deloitte, PwC, McKinsey, or Accenture doing "Digital Transformation," you are the target audience.

The FinTech PM: If you have been a Product Manager at a bank (JPMC, Goldman) or a FinTech startup and understand data pipelines, you are highly competitive.

The Degree: They prefer an MBA or a Technical Master's.
