ADC Engineer I, AI/ML ADC: Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. (within Amazon Web Services)

The AI/ML Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team delivers artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to customers, specifically US government agencies, in isolated, air-gapped cloud environments. The team works on expanding AI/ML services, driving automation, and delivering open-source solutions to help customers like the U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies implement innovative AI/ML solutions.


Responsibilities:

Contribute to the building and operation of AI/ML services for government customers.

Use technical skills to solve problems and improve the customer experience in air-gapped cloud environments.

Learn service architectures and become proficient in a subset of them.

Contribute to documentation, wikis, and runbooks.

Identify and resolve, mitigate, or escalate operational concerns.

Follow policies for information handling, access controls, and compliance.

Communicate clearly with customers and partner teams.

Actively contribute to team planning, scoping, and prioritization.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

1+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows) OR a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience working with scripting languages.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Must possess and maintain a current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience creating and improving documentation, runbooks, and automation.

Familiarity with ADC security policies and compliance standards.

Background in mentoring or training other engineers.

Expertise in one or more AWS service areas (e.g., AI/ML, databases, containers).

Proficiency in scripting/coding for automation and operational tasks.
